Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What education level is required to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)?

A: You must have a high school diploma or GED.

Q: Is any schooling required to become a CPhT?

A: No, but taking a prep course is highly suggested, unless you have prior pharmacy experience.

Q: What is included in the price of the course?

A: The course price includes: textbook, notebook of notes, instruction and hands-on learning experiences.

Q: Is the national exam included?

A: No. You must register through the PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) to take the national exam. It costs an additional $129. 

Q: When is payment due?

A: A deposit of $100 is required to hold your spot in class. The remaining $450 is due at the first class meeting.

Q: How do I register for class?

A: Simply email me (Tammy Miller, Instructor) at millertammy7@gmail.com and request a registration form. I can either email it to you or you can leave your mailing address with me, and I will mail one to you.
